The Use Of Font

I found a map that to me, was extremely creative and it caught my eye. It uses text to create a global map. Although everything is made from text, the font is neat and legible. I like how to emphasis some countries, they did bolder and bigger letters so that they would stand out.

Map Projection

I choose this projection, Lambert Equal Area, because I was intersted in the persavation of area in a projection. Also, I love how the ocean colors have a topographic look to them.

Annual Average Max Temperatures

I really like the use of continuity in this map. Use of color is something I would like to work on, here the colors correlate well with the idea of cold and warmth that the map is trying to portray.

Interactive Map: Ulta Beauty Store Locations in the United States.

Ulta Beauty is a store that sells beauty products. I've been working at the Fair Lakes location for a year and half, and I love the store. This map allows you to scroll over the point and it will tell you the exact location of the store. I personally found it interesting because I never realized how many Ulta's there where across the United States, and it conveniently gives you the address.
